French illustrator Anne Romby's illustrations are gorgeous. I wish I could find out more about her, but everything I'm turning up is in French. Sometimes Google Translate isn't so helpful:
From her childhood she keeps some priceless riches drawn from nature in the wind. She loves prints, miniatures speak other ages, books snuck as weaving, storytelling poems, read and reread aloud.

Her work reminds me of the Van Eyck brothers. (see below) I can never remember which brother was which, but you get the idea.
I love those delicate, gossamer wings.
