I'm in a Moroccan mood, can you tell? Here's a collection of Arabian genie images.
I'm currently decorating my studio, and I'm working on a Scheherazade-ish theme. You can see photos of my Arabian Nights room here.
I always thought the blue genie that pops up out of the bottle is intriguing. But creepy. The concept of a genie or djinn is found in many tales, most of them centering around the Middle East.
I like how vivid the blues are in this one.

Boo!
I've always liked the water color technique where you sprinkle salt on water paint. You can see it in the sparkles of the smoke.
In some versions, the genie just appears as smoke.

That is one ugly genie.
Many of the golden age illustrators portray the Aladdin and Arabian Nights tales in an Asian-style. This obsession falls under the category of Chinoiserie, very popular during this period.
Another depiction with a heavy Asian influence.
This is delightful. I like the green-ness.
From the movie "Mere Genie Uncle"...wow. What the heck?

This is the stuff of nightmares. Did you see he's coming out of a pencil sharpener?

(I can't quite read the signature...Daniel Horne, maybe?)
This reminds me of one of those silly but dramatic sci-fi book covers. Like the Conan covers by Boris Vallejo. Love those.

Blue Genie is an awesome company located in Austin, Texas. I used to live in Austin, and loved seeing their sculptures around town. There is a Blue Genie Art Bazaar every year around the holidays, filled to the brim with local artists and craftspeople. It's worth a trip if you're in Texas.
Note the wings on this one.

I've seen this before, but I'm not sure if it's a genie or just some uber creepy demon. Whatever it is, I would not care to wake up and find it on my bed.

Get off my back, genie.
Ricky Gervais in "Extras" as possibly the Worst. Genie. Ever.
