Ugh, I hate when that happens!

P.S. Love the pic of Violet. She was already a toddler when i found your blog, so it's fun to see her as a baby. So cute!

Maria--if you have the time or inclination, you can start back in 2009 on my other blog and see more Violet photos than you'd probably care to!

Neil Gaiman gave an interview about four years ago. He said he once had an idea for a story, but realized it had already been written by Jonathan Carroll, whose version appeared in the novel Bones of the Moon.

So Gaiman opted not to write it.

A year or so later, he met Carroll and told him how he had backed away from the story. Then a bit later still, Carroll sent him a postcard urging him to go back to the idea.

"The purpose of a writer is to tell it new," Carroll said. "Tell your story."

So tell yours.

Thanks, O Wise Greg.
Just what I needed to hear today.
