I was in the studio with the girls when we heard a lot *thump* and saw feathers flying. Two little sparrows hit the window and flopped down on the patio. Poor birdies!
Adam put them under my rosemary bush, and one of them flew away a while later. The other one...we're not sure, but it's not there any more.
Here are a few videos. Video 1 Video 2 Video 3...again, probably only for family-not that entertaining. I hope I don't sound like I'm being too hard on Violet-I was just worried she might hurt the bird. She'd never held a bird before, and kids often don't know how to be gentle enough yet.
We had a toy shopping trip from a holiday gift card. We don't go to toy stores very often, but when we do it's a BIG deal.
Violet picked out a giant card for her special someones.
Piper made up a game with her finger puppets. She puts one of them at a time in the "zoo".
Thanks again for those finger puppets, Marcia. Hey, moms of little kids-if you don't have a set of finger puppets for your purse, find some ASAP. They will save your life in waiting rooms, at line at the grocery store, whenever.
Finger puppets + confined children=happy.
I love how my girls get along. It may deteriorate when they're older, but for now, they're big buddies. Oh, please let it stay like this.
I LOVE them!!!! (all the pics and the beautiful girls)
I didn't think you were hard on Violet, she didn't know how tender they were and could have squished their guts, poor babies.
I love how she wasn't squeamish, and picked one right up like nothing.
The diner is fab btw.
Oh, birds do that at my house all the time.
Often they leave a big squish mark on the windows.
Luckily, they lay around for a minute or so and then fly away.
Poor things.
Looove, V
