Look what we found at the studio! One day, we were just minding our business when we noticed this beautiful little red door had appeared in the loft.
At first, we just had this little open area in the wall. We hoped that some magical creature might want to move in. Boy did we get lucky, huh?
Violet went upstairs one day and yelled "Mama! Come quick-there's a little door in the wall." I said, "You're so silly." She screamed-"NO! I'm SERIOUS! I'm not pretending. I'm not playing make believer. There is a DOOR in the WALL."
We think a "Magic Mouse" might have moved in. We're not sure why we think that exactly, it just seemed like a strong possibility.
We thought we should introduce ourselves.
Hello!
We wanted to introduce ourselves. We're the Irrgang family-Daddy (Adam), Mama (Laura), Violet (5), and Piper (1 1/2).
We live in the house next door, but we'll be spending a lot of time in this studio.
Are you a mouse? We weren't sure. We really like your red door.
Let us know if you need anything. We hope we don't make too much noise or disturb you.
We'd all really like to be friends with you.
Goodbye! The Irrgangs
P.S. Is this the best way to contact you?
Daddy helped Violet deliver the envelope.
Violet was very very very excited.
We had to remind her to be quiet so we wouldn't scare our new friend away.
We've decided not to try to open the door. After all, we wouldn't like it if some stranger opened our front door.
You want to hear the most exciting part? A few days later, the envelope was gone!
Do you think whoever or whatever it is will write us back? We sure hope so.
Laura!
That is so exciting. Can I move in right next door to the mouse? I need something tiny and magical and dreamy in my life right now.
So amazing!
xoxo

P.S. I haven't forgotten to get back to you. Things have just not been so great around here lately. I haven't even blogged since February 13. Trying to hold all the pieces together. :-(

You're always welcome, Kim-but it would be a tight squeeze.
I'm sorry things aren't going well on your end. Hang in there, friend!

Thanks, Maria! I sure love those girls. I want them to have fun memories from these years. Watch Violet remember...you wouldn't let me touch the door!

Everyone should have such a magical childhood. What a great Mom you are!

Thanks! Now watch them never leave home. They'll be thirty, living in the basement. "It's not fuuuuun to have a job!" they'll whine.

That is just the cutest thing! I want to peek inside! Do you think it's like the inside of a Genie bottle, all comfy & cozy with lots of pillows? Probably with lots of cheese in it too!
