Argh! I've had a nasty computer virus for several days now. DARN IT! I'm getting ready for the DFW Writers' Conference, so it's coming at an extra bad time. Is there ever really a good time to lose your computer, though?
What I don't get is this-what good do those viruses do? How does the creator benefit? Surely just annoying me isn't reward enough. Do they steal info? Try to make money somehow? Seriously-I don't get it.
I'm going to head over to Stuff You Should Know and listen to their podcast on How Computer Viruses Work. I love those guys. If Josh and Chuck can't explain something to you, then you probably don't need to know it.
