I finally got an Irish tin whistle this Tuesday! Or a penny whistle-they're called by a few names. I've wanted one for years.
Here's the first song I learned, Morrison's Jig, complete with mistakes. I already play flute, and the fingering is very similar. I didn't want to be on camera, so I zoomed in on a painting by Titian-Three Stages of Man.
P.S. This old guy is adorable. ("I haven't got the wind!) He reminds me so much of my Grandpa Oliver. He was always such a strange combination of mopey and cheerful, and he liked tinkering with musical instruments and picking out quick tunes.
