I always feel like I have a lot to catch up on when Monday morning rolls around-do you?
My little beauties generate a lot of laundry. Folding a load of baby clothes is so different than, say, a load of towels. There would be ten towels, whereas there are fifty tiny items of baby stuff. Socks, teensy shirts, gloves, wee hats, jammies.
Does your four year old ever stop talking? Mine doesn't.
"...and then the alligator bit off my finger so I threw him off the tower and the fairies caught him and made him spit out my finger and say he was sorry so I said it's okay and we'll be friends but only if you go get me some applesauce, Mister Alligator....."
Oh, that face! And isn't that hand knit sweater a gem? Thrift store score! Some poor granny put hours of work into that. I wash it by hand, dry it flat, then pop it in the freezer before wearing. Freezing a wool sweater sets the fibers by smoothing them, which takes some of the itch out of wool.
I heard a rumor that Marilyn Monroe kept her cashmere sweaters in the freezer. I wonder if that's true?
