Yay! I was the first person to check out 'Shadow of Night' by Deborah Harkness. SCORE! I've never been the first person to get a library book before. Also---it was only released, like---yesterday. I feel so lucky.
In case you have forgotten, it is the much-anticipated sequel to "A Discovery of Witches". I can't WAIT to read this! (I think I'm a little in love with Matthew Clairmont, vampire and geneticist. Do you get crushes on fictional characters, too?)
What was the last book you were really, really excited about?
This is in the library already! I've got it on my calendar to buy as it was just released yesterday. Smart you to snag it so quickly. OK, really really excited by a book? Well, two actually; both written by Laini Taylor. "Lips Touch Three Times" and "Daughter of Smoke & Bone". Laini is awesome.

Ohhh...Laini, be still my heart. What a sweetheart. I loved "Daughter of Smoke and Bone". I met her earlier this year at an author's signing and again just a few weeks ago at the ALA convention in Anaheim. She's amazing! Her husband is hot!
