Next up we have Jill James! Take it away, Jill----- (p.s. If there is even a tiny thing wrong with this post, it is my fault, not Jill's. This is my first attempt at importing a non blog-type file. Jill's .pdf file was gorgeous, with beautiful poetry-like text alignment. I'm sorry I couldn't duplicate it as well on here.)
Mermaid in the Mountains
I am from the ocean---the land is not my home...my true love brought me here & wherever he is, I belong.
Water lullaby of summer, soothing to the soul---I'll find you again somewhere else...your opalescence calls
Fluttering
Floating
Breezing
Along
Sing my Siren Song
Pine trees knitting their needles,
Aspen leaves whisper, whisper
melting away sorrow in the grass
New friends gather round - shimmering inthe summer sun - desert orchids
tasting
peaches
melon
mango
berry
God's sunset calls - beauty is for the taking & our lives are just a season
I'm Jill James, making my home in Utah...taking in all the grandeur this place has to offer - thank you to the gracious Laura....
Is that a wreath made of peacock feathers behind you, Jill? I want!

That was lovely. Makes me think of my future home on the Oregon coast. The name of the town means "where the mountains meet the sea."

Jill, nice to meet you. Your SOA thoughts are charming. Laura, you did a good job getting this into blog format.
