I found a really pretty silk robe at a church garage sale. Unfortunately, I hand washed it and ruined it. At least I think I ruined it. The dark fuchsia embroidery dye bled onto the white silk----ARGH!
Have any of you ever successfully removed this kind of dye from a light colored fabric?
It's pretty bad, huh? Do you think I could dye it that deep pink and hide the stain?
Oh no!!!! That kind of makes me sick. It's still beautiful though.

A fuschia dye would be great until you wash it with other things & the whole wash load turns pink! (sounds familiar) What about those reverse dyes that remove color? - if you didn't pay too much for it, you could dry clean it (but where's the fun in that?) This could be one giant experiment - kind of Elizabethan Shakespearean looking as is.....
