I mentioned I've been wanting to have a carnival-themed party. I was imagining something like this. (from BestBirthdayIdea.com)
I was considering a party for Violet, but she's really too young. Maybe I ought to have a 'For Me' party. I haven't had a birthday party since.....well, I don't remember when. I'm usually not a big party person-parties for me, anyway. I've always felt strange about throwing a party for myself. Still, I think it might be time to have one soon.
I think I'd really like a Halloween Carnival. We'll see. Did any of you see this spread of a vintage Halloween party in Country Living a few years ago? I'm still obsessed with it. Seriously obsessed.
Do you guys throw parties for yourselves? Does someone in your family do it for you?
Hey! You know I threw a party for myself last year. You were there. I'm not proud...I did it. So can you...

Go for it! You don't have to be the best organizer for a party to be successful. In fact, you don't have to have the best party! But of course, you can't let the party-goers down. Make sure you have enough treats ready for the occasion, since it's Halloween-inspired. Remember to moderate a bit on the candy for the kids. The theme may necessitate you to design the location with much more effort, but you can always ask your friends to lend you a hand!
