All right.....here we go! I'll start opening a jar a week, and sharing the contents on some Wednesdays. Maybe not every Wednesday....we'll see how it goes.
This week - we start with the box. THEN we get to the jars.
First:
A teeny 1 1/2" maille purse. Isn't that cute? And a small metal THING that might have fit my harp pegs to use as a tuner. It wasn't the right size, but it might fit another instrument, so I'm still glad to have it.
I really got a kick out of this alphabet book. We HAVE beavers in our swamp, so I'm always a sucker for a beaver illustration. I like the spooky bat, too. Miss Onderful is attached to bears, baths, and bananas, so this page was a hit.
I approve of those gnomes. Red spotted mushrooms are just timeless, yes?
Mowing MACHINES...isn't that funny? What's not funny is that I used to mow my lawn with a push mowever with only spinning blades. That wore me out.
The "Pom Pom the Parisian Poodle" book is from 1947, and the poodle is flocked with fuzzy velvety material. The illustrations are GREAT!
The details are lovely...from her seamed stockings to her lacy apron.
YOU are the luckiest person I know. I'm so flipping jealous right now. Who says "flipping" anymore? Me. That's who...and I am.

I loved the illustrations. The artistry in children's books has really gone downhill.
