Well, it's not officially autumn yet, but I can pretend, can't I? I am sick of 100+ degree days. It's muggy and nasty and I desperately want to wear a sweater.
I finally turned all those pears into something.....pear preserves and pear butter. For the pear butter, I used a crock pot recipe, which left my house smelling yummy for the whole day. I have to say, though, if I didn't know it was made of pears, I'd assume it was apple butter. They taste just the same.
Chicken with gouda over wild rice, green beans, homemade bread, and roasted sweet potatoes. I'm already craving Thanksgiving turkey, how about y'all?
Swoon. Your menu sounds so delicious. I have been using "All Natural Farmhouse brown and wild rice" boxed mix. I don't often use packaged mixes, but this is quite good. If you can find this brand, I recommend it.
