Hello, Christmas Goat!
I am a big Smell person. No---I don't smell, I just like olfactory pleasantness in my home. I almost always have essential oils simmering in little pots around the house. My favorite scent for the holidays is a mix of spruce and fir. It's like sitting in the middle of a forest. Mmmmmmm.
Open wide, Baby Bird. It's her first cookie dough! It's a rite of passage, I tell ya. I cropped this weird. I think I squished us too much up and down. I just got a new camera, can you tell? My photo quality is probably better, but doesn't look better yet because I don't know how to use my camera.
All the presents are wrapped and nestled under the tree. I'm finally done with my biggest project--2 years' worth of photos into an album. I didn't even TRY to do a scapbook. It took me 6 hours just to sort everything and put it in an album. I try to do this every year for Christmas, but last year I was VERY pregnant and didn't get to it.
Here's a very silly map I left for Adam this morning. I'm in a goofy Christmas mood, can you tell?
We opened our 'special ornaments'. Miss Baby received a silver carousel horse.
It's fun to dangle things out of her reach.
Do you see mine? It's in the middle towards the bottom. It's the gold circle to the left of the aqua pine cone. It's from our New England trip.....it has a moose and a Vermont state shape and a church and a covered bridge. CUTE! Thanks, honey.
Embarassingly enough, I don't remember which gift is his ornament. So I gave him a box that did NOT have his ornament in it. I guess we'll find it on Christmas. Do you ever do that? Forget what's in each gift? I frequently wrap them to disguise their sizes and shapes, then I forget what's what.
Fragrance is essential. Uh, is THAT why they call it essential oil?(silly) I love to burn scented candles usually a spicy or citrusy or woodsy scent...never floral. Then I bought a couple of these scent diffusers. Favorite is Thyme's Fraser Fir, eBay bargains only. Your map is precious. I'm thinking that last year at this time you hadn't yet held Baby in your arms. What a year this has been for you.
