I was making this sundress a few months ago. I finished it, but forgot to take photos.
Here's the end result. I added a big cameo in the front. I'm glad I went with a single ruffle instead of a double layer.
I have to wear a slip under it because it's eyelet, but I'd rather do that than line it. It's just too hot here for a lined dress. I'm happy with it. It's very floaty and comfortable. It's a great dress to slip on when you need to get dressed quickly but still look nice. It's my version of sweats.
That is an adorable sundress. And I envy you your hair.
I was going to call you tonight, but then I didn't. Because I figured that unlike me, you probably have a life. So I worked on dialect stuff instead.

Hi Sally!
I have been soooo swamped feeling trying to get back to 'life as usual'. I'm not sure why, but I can't seem to get re-organized after this Austin trip. It's all I've been able to do just to catch up on my blog. I'll be heading over to yours and a few beloved others this weekend to catch up, I hope.
I like the dress, too. I sure enjoy sewing. I wish I had a separate life just to sew. Thanks for the hair compliment. I think it has grown long and healthy out of sheer neglect since I've been pregnant. I haven't been styling it much, and I am too lazy to tolerate frequent trims. So, voila! Long hair. Are you a hat person? I've always thought I could get really into hats if I lived in a colder climate. I love them here, but you can only wear them one or two months of the year without sweltering. Then again, you have to deal with hat hair if you remove it, I guess.
I'm procrastinating. I made a batch of homemade blueberry muffins and another pot of coffee. Decaf. Yuck. It doesn't work. I'm trying to avoid going out to the studio because it's pouring rain and I don't want to have to lug the baby and all her gear over there in the rain.
I better bite the bullet.
Bye bye!
I've missed you....I look forward to seeing your blog and finding out what you've been up to.
