I, like oodles of other women out there, have an on-going love affair with vintage buttons. Is it just me, or do lots of you guys store them in a big Mason jar so you can see them?
My very nice friend Marcia just shared the above stash with me. By the way, if anyone lives near Greenville, Texas, Marcia (master tailor supreme) teaches an extremely fun sewing class at the public library. Just call the library for information.
I was looking at Emily's fabulous button sweater yesterday at "Inside A Black Apple", and fished out the buttons again. That little top is adorable! I think I might want to go button-crazy on the yoke of a little summer dress. I'll post photos later when I'm finished.
These are the results from last month's Button Loves Glue fest. I particularly like the big button bedazzled bangle bracelet. (how's THAT for alliteration?)
Oh boy...this is embarassingly blurry. However, I'm feeling too lazy to take another. I had a pair of cheapish boots that were falling apart at the seams. I couldn't bear to part with them for some reason, so I glued the seams back together and smushed buttons all along the glue lines.
There! This back view is clearer. I don't know about you other button-hoarders, but I always have about twice as many cream/white/pearlescent ones as any other color. This was a great way to use up that army of similar buttons.
