"Mama, the baby is touching me. See? She's touching me. It's okay. I'm not complaining. I'm just letting you know."
My mother knitted this little dress for me back in the late 1970s. Isn't it cute? I'm so glad she kept it. The pattern was called 'Lollipop', so we called it my Lollipop Dress. There's a bit of smocking (I think?) at the top, too.
I wish I had a photo of me wearing it. This is the closest thing I could find where I was the same age.
"Look, Mama! It's amazing when I do this."
Violet is very modest, have you noticed?
Do you know how hard it is to get a photo of two children looking at the camera and smiling at the same time?
Do you keep your children's/grandchildren's clothes? I'd love to see photos of you guys in your heirlooms. Even if it's just an old Star Wars shirt.
