I finally figured out who painted the pieces that hang above Amelie's bed (and come to life) in the movie "Amelie". It's a German surrealist named Michael Sowa.
I've really enjoyed browsing through his paintings. Violet giggles at almost every one we see. They're very lighthearted and fun.
I like the pickles in their jar car.
I think this is my favorite. It reminds me of our pond. What a happy little pig.
It reminds me of Ralph the diving pig at Aquarena Springs, too.
Bunny Dressing--This almost feels like an Edward Hopper painting.
I don't care what anyone else thinks...farting dragons are funny.

I want one of each please...except the big spider one. You can keep it.

The spider one reminds me of me in my room.
Chock full of spiders.

Spiders seem to be roaming my house only at night too! I usually give them a squirt of windex but sometimes I feel guilty and don't give them the death sentence if they seem smart (weird, I know)
I have such a spider aversion that whenever I pull out my crystal spider pin, it gives me a creepy crawly feeling.
However, it would be quite fun to have that spider painting in notecard form! Happy Halloweenish...
I think Bunny is putting on a wrap skirt ~

This is my fave movie if one can be defined as such...so artful, imaginative, delightful! What fun looking at the other images. I never would've thought to try and find out who the author was. I love the dragon one, lol! I can chalk that one off on my two boys :) I totally agree with that sentiment--farting dragons ARE funny!
