I've been painting all week! When I was a girl, my favorite paintings were ones that had tons of stuff going on in them. So....even though these aren't the most sophisticated paintings in the world, I have a soft spot for jam-packed folk art work.

It's so exciting to me that Miss Onederful is finally old enough to look at art. Well, she's always looked at art, but old enough to identify things. When I showed her the painting, she pointed and said, "Moon!" She also pointed at the cats, pumpkins, and hats.

When my daughter is older, I'll start painting her, her pets, and her friends into paintings. I would really have liked that as a child. Who knows....maybe she won't be interested. However, I think it will be fun to 'unveil' a painting with little secrets in it. She'll be able to say, "That's ME and my cat at the Pumpkin Toss". Or whatever.
Would you have liked that as a child? Even now?

Wow! Love the painting! So many fun elements about it. The "used cauldron" sign made me giggle :)
So cool to see what was in the jar! I think just about anything you are to find in there will be interesting. Part of what fascinates me about it is the oddball factor of it all...I mean, why would someone store things like that? I find it very cool!
