I am quite taken with these miniature environments by Thomas Doyle.
This piece is from the "Distillation" series.
These are incredibly detailed and painstakingly crafted.
And then, as if these weren't already brilliant enough, he places the whole tableau under a glass dome.
Aren't these intriguing? I love how it throws you into this strange little world already in progress.
They have a strong narrative quality, like they're capturing a specific moment from a dark, modern, suburban fairy tale.

Wowie wow wow wow! Miniature things are an absolute all time favorite of mine, this is just too perfect! I love how one has a chunk of Earth underneath. Fascinating!
