I can't even manage to get the house clean for a given holiday, much less decorated. Even so, if I had the awesome cardboard Halloween decorations we had growing up, I'd make the effort. I wonder whether my folks still have those...

I've never HEARD of a Halloween tree! What a concept.

It seems as though this day has gotten much bigger recently (and a lot more commercial!). When I was a kid, it was all about carving a pumpkin, coming up with a great costume all on my own (we NEVER paid money for a costume!), and going out to get a very small amount of candy or hand-bagged popcorn treats. I kind of miss those days...

i never thought of doing a halloween tree! i have always wanted a white or a silver tree...maybe i could use that as justification for one! lol! (the familia won't go for anything but a green tree for christmas!) but i think if i did a halloweenie tree, i would do it black! i have some pink and purple spider ornaments already. hmmm!

Here's a link to a photo of my tree last year. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2359/2389341230_234e888791_b.jpg
Oops, my darling grandbaby is in the photo too. I hope to find time to put it up again this year, it was a big hit with everyone. You are welcome to add it to your post if you'd like.

I have done a Halloween tree, but this year I've put up nothing so far. I guess it's still considered early, but I usually put out my H stuff in early Sept so as to enjoy it a while. I bought a table-top black tinsel tree on closeout a couple years back, inspired by my blog friend SueAnn. She does a tree for every holiday...I think she leaves it up all year and changes the theme as the holidays roll around.
